The 'Military Veterans of Westwood' exhibit, which opened in November 2006, documents the residents of Westwood who have served in the nation's military, from the Civil War to the present.
For example, in the photograph below veterans of the Civil War & World War I, together with members of our World War I allies and the mothers of Ralph W. Lester and Clarence Staples, are assembled in (the current) Veterans' Memorial Park for the dedication of the World War I monument in 1918.
